For the first time, the project conference took place in presence in Leipzig. Around 50 participants came together at the UFZ KUBUS, exchanged ideas and contributed to a varied programme. Julia von Gönner and Jonas Gröning from the UFZ presented the evaluation of the project results from the monitoring campaigns 2021 to 2023. Several FLOW groups gave insights into their experiences: in the form of lectures, posters and picture collages, they presented how they implemented their FLOW monitoring events. After an inspiring lecture on possibilities for stream restoration by Dr Ludwig Tent, the participants exchanged views on different topics in groups, for example on the methods of macrozoobenthos identification or on ideas to improve the FLOW monitoring methods.
